Mission Statement

My mission is to communicate my passion and knowledge of art to a global audience through teaching, curating exhibitions, and advising public and private collections.

Teaching Philosophy

In my teaching, I emphasize historical empathy, encouraging students to engage deeply with art to reflect the human experience. I focus on the image as an immediate form of communication and a complex visual language that requires decoding, helping students appreciate its multifaceted power and cultural significance.

Curatorial Approach

I have organized various exhibitions, from celebrated artists to emerging talents. Among my notable achievements is curating an exhibition on Salvador Dalí's early years for the Fundación Residencia de Estudiantes in 2000 and at La Maison de la Monnaie in Paris. My approach leverages comparative analysis and thematic sequences to generate fresh perspectives on established artists while introducing new voices to the art world.

Advisory Role

As an advisor, I guide collectors in refining their collections, ensuring their objectives are clearly defined and aligned with a broader vision. This involves making strategic additions and subtractions to enhance the focus and coherence of their collections.
